What is Craniosacral?

Craniosacral is a light touch, gentle, hands-on approach that releases tension, pain and dysfunctional patterns within the body to improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger. Working with the cerebrospinal fluid, cranium, spine and sacrum, craniosacral releases restrictions in central nervous system membranes, cranial sutures and the associated cranial nerves.  

What is Lymphatic Drainage?

The lymphatic system is the body’s defense against virus, bacteria and any foreign invaders. Lymph blockage can induce colds, pain, sinusitis, swelling, and swollen lymph nodes. Lymphatic Drainage (LD) stimulates and detoxifies areas of the face and body to get rid of excess fluid, cellular debris, and stagnant fat, while promoting an increase in the level of immune cells. LD is a gentle, non-invasive, light touch healing treatment designed and developed by Dr. Vodder, in Germany. It is used extensively throughout Europe to support the health of children and adults.

What is Reiki? What is Distance Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Reiki treatments enhance the flow of healthy energy and disempower the flow of sick energy. With the lightest touch, the Reiki practitioner directs healthy energy into the body's energy field, restoring the natural flow of energy. 

Distance Reiki - Reiki session where you and I are in different physical locations. I have effectively treated those in NJ, California, Israel… energy knows no bounds. Perfect solution during these times of Covid.

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is a method of customizing yoga, through adaptations and applications of various yoga techniques, to an individual’s abilities and goals. As a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, I utilize knowledge gained during your Session, to provide you with simple take home yoga techniques that enable you to sustain and support your own healing. NO yoga experience is needed.

What Can I Expect in a Session?

  • Clothing - dress comfortably in loose pants or shorts, and a short sleeve shirt or tank top. Wireless bra. No tight lycra/yoga wear! Wear socks, if you prefer to not have your foot skin touched.

  • Touch - with your consent, hands are placed on various areas of your body ( scalp & hair, face, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, abdomen, back, upper chest, sacrum, legs and feet).

  • Questions - I ask a lot of questions :). This way I can customize each session to your particular needs. You are not required to share or answer anything that is uncomfortable for you.

  • Confidentiality - respecting your privacy is important to me. I do not share what we speak about with others.

  • Outcomes - My aim is for you to walk away from each session feeling calmer, clearer, grounded, less symptomatic, seen, heard, balanced, encouraged, and empowered.

How do I prepare for a Session?

  • Water - Drink 16 oz. of water an hour before your appointment.

  • Clothing - dress comfortably in loose pants or shorts, and a short sleeve shirt or tank top. Wireless bra. No tight lycra/yoga wear! Wear socks, if you prefer to not have your foot skin touched.

  • Please do NOT use deodorant that would inhibit your natural sweating. We want your body to release toxins, not hold them back.

What happens after a Session?

  • Hydrate - please drink another 16 oz. of water within an hour after session. Toxins are moving out of your body and water is vital.

  • After Affects - The healing continues through you for 24 - 48 hours. It is normal to be hungry and for the bowels to clear. Eat healthy and go to bed early. NO alcohol.

  • Connection - Expect a text from me 48 hours afterwards to check in on you. If anything comes up before or after that, please feel free to reach out to me. I am here for you.

What is the Cancellation policy?

  • 24 hours notice cancellation. If you cancel, under 24 hours, for a non-emergency or non-Covid reason, you will be charged half of the session fee. I book a limited number of sessions each week to ensue that each person gets all the time they need. Please respect my time and the health needs of other people, who may have been closed out of a spot. Many thanks for understanding.

  • I am located in Montclair, NJ. Very close to Garden State Parkway, Exit 148 or 280 West, Exit 8B. Free parking on street.

What Precautions are taken regarding COVID 19?

  • I am happy to wear a mask, if that’s your preference. I am vaccinated and boostered and have had covid.

  • All areas are thoroughly sanitized before and after treatment.

  • Please reschedule your appointment if you have had a fever during the past 24 hours, are presenting with any respiratory, flu symptoms, sore throat or shortness of breath, have had direct exposure with anyone in the last 6 days who has Covid Thanks for your cooperation.

  • A treatment while you are sick is NOT helpful to you. It can exacerbate your symptoms. See contraindications.
